Line Manager: Academic Delivery Manager
Location: Hybrid working but based within West Midlands
Hours: 37.5 per week
Overview of Role:
Maximising contribution in Work-based Learning, helping learners ask: 1. How best can I work? 2. How best shall I learn?
Coaching a caseload of learners and their mentors (following TDM’s curriculum intent and approach) in order to maximise retention, timely completion rates, employee performance and whole person development. You must also reliably document a learning narrative in order to ensure compliance. Design and deliver training programmes following TDM’s task-based, flipped classroom approaches and methodologies. Demonstrate TDM's values and culture in your professional work and collaborate with managers and colleagues on the Company's mission and vision.

Core Responsibilities (Right Seat):
1. Be employer responsive - developing and maintaining strong employer relationships, assisting in employer impact / digital transformation / change management, future proofing workforce planning and generating more Degree Apprenticeships / Apprenticeships/ Skills Bootcamp starts with your employer partners.
2. Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) with employers and their employees / learners.
3. Plan, assess, teach and align individual learning plans within both genuinely work-based learning and the educational brief, ensuring quality and accuracy in the completion of required documentation.
4. Communicate effectively with skills and knowledge coaches to ensure the programme is supporting the whole person education objectives as well as the development of knowledge and skills.
5. Ensure retention of learners on programme by owning the learner record of learning at all times, proactively resolving any issues and managing the individual learning journey.
6. Ensure timely completion of the programme by ensuring learner progress is checked regularly and completed by the threshold period so learners can prepare for final assessments during threshold, thus completing by the planned end date.
7. Proactively progress learning and facilitate formative and summative assessment of each individual learners’ PERFORMANCE in both their work and their studies via a range of methods.
8. Proactively progress learning and facilitate formative and summative assessment of each individual learners’ whole person DEVELOPMENT via a range of methods.
9. Proactively progress learning and facilitate formative and summative assessment of each individual learners’ ENGLISH and MATHS development via a range of methods.
10. Effectively document the learner journey through regular report writing, delivering and documenting employer and learner responsive coaching sessions using formative coaching and assessment skills (i.e. PATA or GROW).
11. Ensure learner retention remains high and learners achieve timely completion of their programme.
12. Effectively rate learners against the RBSG (red, bronze, silver, gold) criteria (predicting programme success not personal performance).
13. Create and manage learner action plans and plan, provide and review additional learning support (ALS) where required.
14. Coach learners in terms of their performance improvement and personal development, helping them to sustain or gain employment in Tech or Digital careers, whilst being a positive member of society.
15. Design, develop and deliver classroom-based and blended training around the relevant Standard/programme (virtual (using mainly Totara, Moodle and Mahara) or real world).
16. Engage with and support quality processes.
17. Any other duties as directed by your line manager and/or a Director.
18. Compliance with all TDM policies, procedures and legal responsibilities, including ISO9001 and Cyber Essentials.
Ideal Candidate:
Required:
· Educated to Level 4+ or equivalent.
· English and Maths at Level 2+ (i.e. GCSE grade C/4+).
· A passion for working with (and fostering learning and development relationships for) employers and for their employees as learners.
· Strong project management and organisation skills to ensure each employer and each learner achieves what they’re capable of.
· Good writing, self-organisation and attention to detail skills.
· Ability to personally demonstrate and also to develop others against the TDM core values (see above).
· Ability to gain trust and communicate with individuals from various backgrounds and various attitudes to life and work.
· Ability to adapt to changing legislation, to multi-task and use a variety of continuously evolving systems and processes as required.
· A full, clean driving licence, access to a vehicle and a willingness to travel as and when required.
Preferred:
· A background in the people management or the Apprenticeship sector.
· Coaching / assessing skills and qualifications.
· Classroom training skills and qualifications.
· Instructional design / VLE skills and qualifications.

English and Maths at Level 2+ (i.e. GCSE grade C/4+).
Successful work experience within the technical field(s) which you will coach and train for at TDM.
A clear narrative around your natural hunger for continuous learning and development within the technical field(s) which you will coach in at TDM.
Is eager to quickly learn about and coach others in the use of a range of established and emergent Microsoft products, tools and resources, such as Copilot, Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, and GitHub Copilot, as well as their training and certification products.
Well-rounded knowledge of a broad range of the fundamentals of tech and digital as a minimum.
A history of training, teaching and/or coaching, providing interactive and engaging sessions and development opportunities to adult learners.
A passion for working with and fostering relationships with learners and their employers.

Overview of Role: The Learning and Development Consultant for TDM will primarily be responsible for delivering an AIEDA sales funnel which engages new employer partners to work with TDM on Government or levy funded work-based learning programmes. You will be expected to implement a growth plan, setting and delivering on your own growth targets. You will adopt a multi-touch sales strategy including active participation in local Tech/HR sector events, which will be underpinned by a social selling approach using LinkedIn Sales Navigator. You will also be responsible for consulting with your new clients to identify training needs; communicating effectively with clients and internal teams, maintaining appropriate training programs for clients, providing Learning Management System (LMS) support and conducting instructional design.
